SMS & Messaging Terms
Last updated November 1, 2026
These terms explain how text messaging works on cards made with MyDigiCards. They are part of our Terms of Service and are written with the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act and wireless carrier rules in mind.
MyDigiCards itself does not send text messages. A business whose card you use may connect its own CRM; if you share your details with that business (for example on its DigiSnap form), its CRM may text you, from the business's own number, under the business's own consent process. When you tap a "Text" or keyword button on a card, your own phone's messaging app opens with a message ready to send to the card owner; nothing is sent unless you press send yourself.
1. Texting a card owner today
- Keyword and "text me" buttons open your phone's own messaging app, addressed to the number the card owner chose. The message goes from your phone, through your carrier, to that number. MyDigiCards does not see, store or send it.
- By texting a card owner's number (for example texting a keyword to join their list), you are contacting that card owner directly. Any replies or follow-up messages come from the card owner, under their own consent process.
- Reply STOP to the card owner's number to ask them to stop texting you. Card owners must honour that request (see section 3).
- Your carrier's normal message and data rates apply to messages you send and receive.
2. Texts from a business's own CRM
After a business connects its own CRM to MyDigiCards, the contacts its card collects are sent to that CRM. Any text you then receive (for example a follow-up with a link to the business's card) is sent by that business's CRM, as set up by the business, not by MyDigiCards. These points apply to those messages:
- Consent. The business is responsible for having your consent before its CRM texts you (see section 3). Agreeing is never a condition of buying anything.
- What you'll get. A link to the card you asked for, and, only if you agreed to it, follow-up messages from that card owner.
- How often. Message frequency varies. A card link is a single message; follow-ups depend on the card owner and will be described when you sign up.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. MyDigiCards does not charge you to receive messages.
- STOP. Reply STOP (or END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT) at any time to stop messages from that number. The business's CRM handles STOP and HELP and stops texting you from that number.
- HELP. Reply HELP for help, or email legal@mydigicards.io.
- Carriers. Supported on major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your phone number. MyDigiCards never texts it and never sells it; it goes to the business you shared it with. Phone numbers and opt-in information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
3. Rules for card owners
If your card invites people to text you, or you text the people your card collects, you are the sender and you are responsible for following the law. You agree to:
- Get prior express consent before texting anyone, and prior express written consent before sending marketing texts, as the TCPA and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act require. A phone number entered in a form is not, on its own, consent to marketing texts.
- Keep a record of each person's consent (when, how, and what they agreed to) for at least four years.
- Identify yourself in your messages, honour STOP and other opt-out requests right away, and answer HELP requests.
- Only text between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the recipient's local time (Florida's rule; 9 p.m. under federal rules) and respect Do Not Call lists.
- Keep the consent line on keyword tiles ("Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.") or replace it with one that is at least as clear.
- Not send messages that break carrier rules (for example about cannabis, firearms, loans or adult content) or our Acceptable Use Policy.
We may switch off texting for a card or account that receives complaints or breaks these rules.
