Cookie Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage MyDigiCards uses on mydigicards.io, in the app and on published cards.
The short version: we only store what is needed to keep you signed in, to make forms work, and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or third-party analytics, so we do not show a cookie banner.
1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies, local storage, session storage and IndexedDB are small pieces of information a website keeps in your browser. "Essential" items are needed for the site to work. "Preference" items remember choices you made. Today MyDigiCards itself sets no cookies at all: everything below lives in your browser's site storage and is never sent to advertisers.
2. What we use
| Item | Where | Why | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session (sb-…-auth-token) | Local storage | Keeps a member signed in to the app | Essential | Until you sign out |
| Account in use, sign-in link state (mdc:*) | Session storage | Remembers which account you are working in and finishes password-setup links | Essential | Until the tab is closed |
| Unsaved card edits (mdc:draft:*) | Local storage | Protects builder changes if the page reloads before they are saved | Essential | Until the change is saved or discarded |
| Theme and builder layout | Local / session storage | Light or dark mode, recent colours, preview device, panel open or closed | Preference | Until you clear it |
| New-leads marker | Local storage | Shows the new-leads badge for leads you have not seen | Preference | Until you clear it |
| DigiSnap “already connected” | Local storage (card visitors) | So a visitor who already said hello isn't asked again on the same card | Essential | Until you clear it |
| DigiSnap offline queue | IndexedDB (card visitors) | Holds a submitted form on the device when there is no signal, and sends it when the connection returns | Essential | Until it is sent |
3. Card analytics without cookies
Card owners see views and taps on their cards. We count these on our own servers without cookies or advertising IDs: each page view gets a short-lived token that lives only in the open page and disappears when you leave. We record the device type, country and referring site, not who you are. See the Privacy Policy.
4. Third-party content
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address but does not set cookies. Card owners can add videos, maps, social posts or custom code to their cards. Those services (for example YouTube or Google Maps) may set their own cookies under their own policies when you view that content.
Card owners who embed third-party content or custom code are responsible for telling their visitors about any cookies it sets and getting any consent required.
5. Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. If you clear them you will be signed out and your preferences will reset; if you block them, signing in will not work.
6. Changes and contact
If we ever add a cookie that is not essential or a preference, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires. Questions: legal@mydigicards.io.
