Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses MyDigiCards: members, agencies and their customers. It covers your cards, the content on them, the way you collect and use leads, and how you use the app.
The short version: be who you say you are, only collect information people knowingly give you, follow the law when you contact them, and don't misuse the platform.
1. Be honest about who you are
- Do not impersonate any person, business, brand or public body, or suggest a connection, endorsement or credential you do not have.
- Do not use names, logos or trademarks you do not have the right to use, including on card links (handles).
- Do not publish fake reviews, testimonials, ratings, awards or sales figures. Replace the sample content that comes with templates before you publish.
2. No illegal or harmful content
Your cards must not contain, link to or promote:
- anything illegal, or instructions or offers to do something illegal;
- content that sexually exploits or endangers children, or sexually explicit material;
- threats, harassment, hate speech or content that encourages violence or self-harm;
- fraud, scams, phishing, deceptive offers, pyramid schemes, or pages that collect passwords or payment details under false pretences;
- malware, or links to sites that install it;
- content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights, or someone's private information shared without permission;
- regulated goods or services (for example firearms, drugs, gambling) offered in a way that breaks the law where you or your visitors are.
3. No spam
- Only call, text or email people who gave you their details and agreed to hear from you, and honour every opt-out (including "STOP" replies) right away.
- Follow the TCPA, the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act, CAN-SPAM, Do Not Call rules and similar laws where your recipients are. See our SMS & Messaging Terms.
- Do not use cards, QR codes or share links to send bulk unsolicited messages.
4. Get consent for the information you collect
As a card owner you are responsible for the information your cards collect, and for the consent of the people it belongs to. In particular:
- Only collect information from people who choose to give it to you on your card. Do not fill in forms on other people's behalf without their permission.
- Do not remove, hide or contradict the privacy notice shown under MyDigiCardsforms, or the selfie consent in DigiSnap.
- Tell people how you will use their details, and use them only for that.
- Do not ask for sensitive information through card forms: government ID numbers, financial account or card numbers, passwords, health information, or similar.
- Do not collect information from children under 13.
- If you upload or scan someone else's business card, make sure you have a legitimate reason to keep and use their details.
5. No harvesting or scraping
- Do not scrape, crawl or harvest cards, leads, contact details or templates from MyDigiCards, or use automated tools to collect them.
- Do not buy, sell, rent or trade lead lists collected through MyDigiCards.
- Do not use the Service to build a competing product or database.
6. Don't misuse the platform
- Do not try to get into accounts, cards or data that are not yours, or test, probe or get around our security, rate limits or plan limits.
- Do not send fake views, taps or form submissions, or otherwise inflate or distort analytics.
- Do not overload the Service, or use custom code on a card to attack, track or mislead visitors.
- Do not resell or share access, except through the agency features.
7. What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove content, unpublish a card, reclaim a card link, or suspend or close an account that breaks this policy. Where it is safe and lawful we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to immediate closure without a refund. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
To report a card that breaks this policy, email legal@mydigicards.io with the card link and what is wrong.
